Foot assessment, nail trimming and reduction of thickened nails, plus care for corns, calluses and dry skin. We use medically sterilized instruments and adapt treatment to your feet.
When the edge of a nail presses or grows into the surrounding skin, it can cause tenderness, swelling and irritation.
We assess the affected nail and discuss treatment. When a procedure is appropriate, the toe is numbed and the ingrown portion is removed while preserving the rest of the nail, with personalized aftercare instructions.
Heel pain can make everyday movement uncomfortable. Plantar fascia irritation is one possible cause; an examination helps identify what is contributing to your pain.
Our plantar fasciitis and heel spur package combines a clinical examination, musculoskeletal ultrasound and a home-care plan. Exercises, stretching and additional treatment are tailored to your evaluation.

When conservative care is not enough, Ricardo Reyes, DPM evaluates whether an in-office procedure using specialized instruments, small incisions and local anesthesia is appropriate. Explore the three procedures below; the approach and recovery are individualized.
Specialized care
A painful soft corn between the toes, often the fourth and fifth, where pressure and friction irritate the skin.
When appropriate, a small-incision procedure reduces the underlying bony prominence under local anesthesia. Aftercare and walking instructions are tailored to you.

A bent toe can rub against footwear, causing discomfort and corns. Correction may be considered when conservative care has not helped.
Minimally invasive correction addresses the affected joint and contracted tissues through a small incision under local anesthesia. Your provider explains footwear and recovery needs.

An irritated nerve in the forefoot can cause burning, sharp pain or tingling that extends into nearby toes. A clinical examination helps clarify the cause.
When appropriate, ultrasound-guided decompression releases pressure around the nerve through a small incision, without removing the nerve. Treatment and recovery follow your individual assessment.

Raised in Miami, Dr. Ricardo Reyes studied at the University of South Florida in Tampa and earned his podiatric medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores.
He completed a podiatric surgical residency at Mercy Hospital and Westchester General Hospital in Miami, with training in elective and reconstructive foot surgery and diabetic wound care.
His additional training includes pediatric foot care rotations at Miami Children’s Hospital and a wound-care preceptorship under Dr. Eusebio Subias at Victoria Hospital in Miami.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Reyes enjoys trips with his wife and four children, cooking, fishing and reading.
